Can you permanently change your eye color? Keratopigmentation suggest you can. Doctors warn of danger; patients say it’s worth the risk. The $12,000 surgery is now surging in popularity.
Earlier this fall, we followed patient Jason Jimenez to Kerato, the first US clinic offering the procedure. Changing his eyes from dark brown to light grey, the entire surgery took 30 minutes tops. Kerato owner and surgeon, Dr. Alexander Movshovich, was kind enough to let us into the procedure suite to see how he does it, what it looks like, and learn more about this new technological cosmetic surgety.
SO MANY THANKS to Maïa Booker for the opportunity, truly a dream assignment!!! Wonderful words by Dominique Mosbergen and fabulous graphic done by Elizaveta Galinka. Thank you Kerato for letting me capture all the fun!!!
