Erin Jensen, USA Today’s TV reporter, has always loved a good rom-com. Not having her own Valentine for 2025, she approached her team to ask - what if put out a nationwide call for a Sleepless in Seattle inspired date, meeting for the first time at the Empire State Building? What ensued was just that!
After beginning this journey in early January, 3 contestants were vetted with Erin deciding on Casey Johnson (of FBoy Island fame) to be her lucky valentine. Flying in from Nashville, the two met for the first time at the Empire State Building, followed by a guided tour and dinner afterwards. With USAT’s video team, I watched the rom-com unfold in real time with camera in tow for BTS, portraits, and capturing all the sparks flying. We even were featured on Good Morning America too!!!
