Bio:

Emma Rose Milligan is a photographer + artist based in NYC. She received both her BFA with honors in Photo & Video (2015) and MFA in Photo, Video & Related Media (2018) from the School of Visual Arts. Her editorial commissions can be seen in Barron’s, The New York Times, NY Mag, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and more. In addition to visuals, she wrote her first article for The Wall Street Journal this past spring, focusing on the Super 8 Film Revival. She is further developing her documentary skillset later this year as she was accepted into The Eddie Adams Workshop, class of 2024.

Most recently, her personal project Mirror, Mirror, was featured in Courrier International’s special “Cities” issue, and is an American Photography 40 Chosen Series Winner. Her commercial work focuses in product and lifestyle, and her personal practice explores themes of youth culture, NYC oddities, and understanding looking vs. being looked at.
